For anyone in the US who was collecting the DVDs, we have hope. The license has been rescued by none other than Funimation (story here), as announced at Anime Expo.

No information on whether they are picking up where Geneon left off, or if Funi plans to re-package and re-distribute from the start, but this is good news all around for R1 fans of this show. Please show your support and purchase these discs if you are considering this release! ^_^

You know what? F*ck it. Stupid strike, stupid covers, stupid whatever. If there is a strike and I'm working an office, I have to cover it anyway, so it's not like I have a choice in the matter. I'm not going to refuse offices when they're given to me. And if they don't like that? Tough. I'm sick and tired of trying to keep my head down. It's affecting my job, dammit.

Writing
Free time tomorrow--probably getting more done on PW then. I don't know what's going on in my head, but there's so much mixed up in me that I just can't think straight. Maybe I can if I'm working or away from my room, I don't know. *sighs*

Spinning Around
Currently I'm happiest when I'm writing. Not when I'm teaching, not when I'm doing anything else (well, other than hanging out with friends, but that's pretty rare when everyone is so busy). I'm happiest when I'm writing. I'm going to have to figure out how to do this typing thing at work when I'm not even allowed to use the computers. (Or, well, I do use the computers, but not like that.) I already carry around three notebooks--I suppose I should just make it four, and carry one that actually has writing in it. Like, writing writing. *puts it in her bag*

JRR Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings by hand. Planeswalker probably isn't likely to be completely written by hand, but I need to get things done--I want to get things done. That first scene isn't going to get written unless I write it.

Maybe I will get that cheap laptop and keep it at work after all. We'll see. Anything will do, as long as it can save text files on a USB drive. But first, to actually write. If I buy the laptop and I end up doing no work on it, that's no good either. I just hope I don't end up needing to tote my keyboard to and fro. If I start getting RSI from that laptop, though, I might. *sigh* We'll see. One could just buy a small cheap USB keyboard. Or one of those fold-up ones. Or something. I don't know. I'm not in my right mind.

Dreamt that I was back in Japan with Shirley, but this time as tourists! I'm not sure where the hell we were but I remember wanting going to the Golden Pavilion, since I never got to go ;;. But anyway, I had booked a room at a hotel (that was apparently reeeeally expensive *smacks self*), and we were sharing it with some other, older people... who were crazy. I forget what they did but it left us just staring at them, and subtley retreating from the room. From there, I got the bill for the hotel stay, which was like 300000 yen (3k dollars just about) and that left me quite uneasy. But! Shirley drags me over to the arcade in the hotel and she played Dance Dance Revolution!

And that is where the dream ends.

lol. we changed into our moyashimon cosplays in the car on the way down from berkeley and stood in line for about 10 minutes to get our badges. then we stopped by mitsuwa (still on the way home) and got dinner and went home.

No one really responded to the DtB gathering thread, so other than the Thursday photoshoot, we'll probably wear it either Saturday after Soul Eater, or Sunday morning...

I can't find where they say when autograph sessions are if they say, other than the open autograph session on Sunday... Also, we didn't really end up making anything new for Reborn... so we don't actually have plans to do it... and since PoT is Thursday before a bunch of panels I want to go to, I probably won't bother to change into Shiba for the gathering. Which makes seven cosplays instead of eight or nine...

aw man, I totally just had a freak out two hours right when I was about to post this when I realized that I'd left half my Feldt cosplay at Berkeley (we'd been planning to wear it, so I didn't think about packing it, but then we changed last minute to Moyashimon.... ><;;;;)

mostly solved now, with me wearing a 'skirt' instead of shorts... I also have to go buy new long socks to go with it, but it's not the end of the world, or the cosplay.

I got my permit!

Failed the vision test, just as I fail every vision test I take. But the DMV said as long as my doctor signs off on it--which she has already agreed to do--I will be good to go for lessons!

And the test was bogus. I took a sample one on the NJDMV website the other night and it was a breeze. Taking the real thing though, they threw in questions like "What fine will be issued for the creation or use of a counterfeit license?" I was like, "Okay, eff that--*hits skip*"

Anyhow, bed!

YAY. I got a really nice review for Blue Birthday Cake on fanfiction.net yesterday~ (Alas, it wasn't a ff.net member so I don't think I can reply to it and say "OMG you made my day.") That just makes me feel so much better. It was greatly appreciated after the various and sundry excitement of death threats. Like, it was a decent review of why they liked it and it made me feel warm and fuzzy~ And like maybe I could post the rest of this story up. If only I could write Grover. GAH. Why is he so hard to write? ;_; I think maybe I just need to re-read The Lightning Thief or something, maybe. Well. First I gotta get through Fortune's Fool. At least it finally picked up~ I like Sasha better now that he's not so happy-go-lucky. But anyway, it gave me hope for the Percy Jackson fandom. So that's good, in the end~ :D;

Yesterday's Ocala run was successful, yay! I found the one buckle I needed (ahaha, apparently they're discontinued? And the Ocala Michael's only had one left but they held it for me until we drove down~ Then we went to the GIANT Goodwill and I found a pair of shoes to go under my C.C. bootcovers, yay! They're 5 1/2, so only a tad big, and I think if I wear fluffy socks my feet will stay. Now to, uh. Practice. I have, like, never worn heels before, and these are only an inch or two. ::faaaail:: AND then we went to JoAnns; they didn't have the fabric we wanted to make new turtlenecks for our Starfleet uniforms, but I got some silver for C.C. and we found these adorable little dinosaur buttons that we can sew onto Plushie!Wash's hands. XD

And tonight is Wall-E instead of NGN, and Friday is Bad Movie Marathon at Dan's place~ We're going to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the original movie) and Clash of the Titans, because Blockbuster didn't have The Shadow (WTF? D:). Oh, and... whatchacallit. Fantasy Mission Force. |D Fun times~ And George Foreman grills barbecue!

Planeswalker
Moving away from the computer resulted in a large part of the middle's plot drafted, as well as some issues with Kio and Chye's backgrounds being settled. O_o Slowly but surely, I am filling in the blanks. I may be able to start writing this year after all! ♥

And the target of their fan-squee is also muses from tenipuri_xp. O_o *brain broke* (Thanks, bucket_shot, I wasn't using it anyway.) [Edit: bucket_shot is doing a better job of explaining it in this comment here. It still makes me go O_o, but hey, I have to say that I find muses being fanboys amusing. Then again, if I still had an Eiji, he might be all "CHOCOLATE!" on it...] *so lost and bewildered* I'm just... going to sit here. Tezuka and I will both pretend we have no idea this exists. ^_^; I can't see Tezuka fanning anyone like that, anyway, so that will be perfectly IC. ^_^
